Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, shared a cryptic Instagram post after the Enforcement Directorate seized his assets worth ₹97.79 crore in a Bitcoin ponzi scam probe. Kundra and Shetty denied involvement, with their lawyer expressing confidence in a fair investigation. This comes amid allegations of Kundra’s involvement in a Ponzi scheme and a previous arrest linked to pornographic film distribution.
Raj Kundra’s Cryptic Instagram Post
After the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized assets worth ₹97.79 crore in connection to a Bitcoin ponzi scam probe, businessman Raj Kundra took to Instagram to share a cryptic message. In the post, Kundra posted a picture of a roaring lion with a caption that read: “Learning to stay calm when you feel disrespected is a different type of growth.”
Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have denied any involvement in the case. Their lawyer, Prashant Patil, stated, “There is no prima facie case made out against my clients. We have faith in a fair investigation.” The assets seized include a residential flat in Juhu and a bungalow in Pune, along with equity shares of Kundra.
A Ponzi scheme involves luring investors with promises of high returns, and paying initial investors with funds from subsequent ones. Allegations suggest that Kundra received 285 bitcoins from the scheme’s mastermind, intending to establish a Bitcoin mining farm in Ukraine. However, the deal fell through, leaving Kundra with Bitcoins worth over ₹150 crore.
This isn’t Kundra’s first brush with the law. In 2021, he was arrested in a case involving the production and distribution of pornographic films. Though granted bail by the Supreme Court, the incident raised eyebrows and drew significant media attention.
Even today, Kundra took to Instagram to share another post, this time with a picture of a lion roaring, and spoke about remaining calm despite feeling disrespected. His posts have sparked curiosity and speculation about his state of mind amidst the legal turmoil.
The recent developments in the Raj Kundra case have once again put him in the spotlight. With the ED seizing his assets and ongoing investigations, Kundra and Shetty are facing intense scrutiny. However, their lawyer’s assertion of innocence and Kundra’s enigmatic social media posts have added layers of intrigue to an already complex situation.
