Sri Lanka has already allowed visa free travel for Indians. On the other hand India resumed the visa system. The relationship between India and Canada has been on the decline for a few days now. The new turn of that relationship is cold and complicated. Now everything is as clear as water.
BACKGROUND
The resumption of visa for Canadians was expected long ago. The first seed of doubt was the news of speculation surrounding the secret meeting of the Canadian Foreign Minister with the Foreign Minister Jaishankar Singh . The incident started when Khalistani militant Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed in Canada on June 18. Nijjar was shot dead by unidentified persons in front of a Gurdwara. The murder of Khalistani militant Hardeep Singh Nijjar has created chilly diplomatic relations between India and Canada. Meanwhile, speculations have been made around the secret meeting between Foreign Minister S. Jaishankarep and the Canadian Foreign Minister.
A few days ago Jaishankar and Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly had a secret meeting in Washington. A foreign media indicated that the two foreign ministers held talks to find a solution to the cold diplomatic relations between the two countries after Nijjar’s murder. However, the Indian-Canada Ministry of Foreign Affairs remained silent about this secret meeting. A few days ago, the Canadian government expressed concern over India’s request to evacuate 41 diplomats. They said that they will try to solve the problem. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada also said that efforts are being made to communicate with Delhi in this regard. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has recently expressed his unwillingness to deteriorate bilateral relations with India over Nijjar’s murder. Canada has always said that it is interested in maintaining good relations with India, but Narendra Modi did not accept this claim. The secret talks between the two Foreign Ministries can be considered as a significant enough reason to initiate the visa regime.
This incident is reflected in Visa. Foreign Minister gave speech about the murder of Hardeep singh at an event in Delhi. He mentioned about the visa for several times in the event on Sunday. In this regard, Jaishankar said, “If we see progress in the security of Indian diplomats in Canada, then the process of issuing visas to Canadians will start again.” On the other hand, the Canadian government is angry with this and is suspending the system for not giving visas to Indian citizens. Jaishankar said that steps have been taken according to the decision taken. Finally, the Indian government launched the visa system for Canadians from October 26. This was reported by the High Commission of Canada on Wednesday.
Date – 26th October , thursday
Types of Visa – Entry visa, business visa, medical visa and conference visa will be introduced.

Canadian diplomats in India must return home by October 20, India sends a stern message to the Trudeau government. Canada has recalled 41 diplomats from India due to the expiry of the deadline. After that, the India-Canada diplomatic conflict took an extreme form. Canada brought forward major allegations against India. The Canadian government claims that India has violated international law. Millions of people will face problems as a result of this decision of India. Justin Trudeau told that the Indian government is making life incredibly difficult for millions of ordinary people in India and Canada. India has violated fundamental principles.Trudeau said , ‘ India’s decision would affect travel and trade relations between the two countries ‘. Besides, he commented that this decision will create problems for Indian students who come to study in Canada.
However, after announcing this on Thursday, Canada’s administration welcomed India’s move. After spending a period of anxiety for many Canadians, the government there considered it a positive step. Canada’s Sikh Minister Harjit Sajjan told to reporters that it is very important that Indians and Canadians can return home for marriage or someone’s funeral. On the other hand, he also said that he wants India’s help in investigating the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
