Day by day, new inventions are coming into the world of AI. After the virtual husband, the AI has now created a virtual model.
Although artificially created, this model sleeps, goes to the gym, and sometimes goes to swimming pool like a normal person. Now you must be interested in knowing what the model actually looks like.
What does she look like?
Her name is Aitana Lopez. This pink-haired Spanish AI model is a 25-year-old who is an extrovert and fitness freak. She (fit_atiana) has amassed over 133,000 Instagram followers.
Founded by whom and why?
Lopez was created by Rubén Cruz, the founder of The Clueless, a modeling agency in Spain. According to Euronews, the company was struggling with many projects due to model errors, and then the company decided to create one for the clients they approached. “We were going through a rough patch as we did not have many clients. So, we started analysing how we were working and realised that many projects were being cancelled due to problems beyond our control,” Cruz told.
What can she do?
Day-to-day, Aitana is managed by a team. That group decides what she will ‘do’ in a week, which places she will ‘visit’ and which pictures will be uploaded to her Instagram page, counting down day by day. With the help of Photoshop, design experts superimpose the model at various locations, while photos are created using AI.
Currently, Lopez’s Instagram feed is adorned with 56 photos. From a night outing to going to the gym, the nation’s premier AI influencer can do everything effortlessly.
Cruz carefully crafted Lopez to embody traits that resonated with social preferences. Described as a “strong and determined woman,” Lopez’s profile on the agency’s website depicts her as a Scorpio woman. She likes to play video games. She also replies to fans’ messages in the inbox.
“We created this to secure a better income and not rely on individuals with egos, quirks, or solely profit-driven motives”, said by Aitana Lopez’s creator.
How much does she earn?
Her main source of income is advertising. She has become the face of a sports supplement company and shares content on a social platform called Fanvue. According to Cruz, virtual influencer Aitana can earn up to 10,000 euros monthly, although the average is around 3,000 euros. It is equivalent to about 300,000 rupees in Indian currency.
Success
The model has been quite successful commercially. Aitana’s success story inspired the company to give birth to their second AI model, Maia Lima. The Argentinian girl has a completely different character than Aitana. Maia is shy, and her introverted, loving nature is revealed in her bisexual orientation.
Aitana and Maia’s story explores the evolving intersection of technology, creativity, and the influencer landscape, reshaping how brands engage with audiences through AI-generated personas. Also, it contains evidence of how machines can keep up with humans in today’s era of competition.
Impacts of AI model
Each case has a positive and negative effect. Same in this case. Elon Musk has already spoken about the dangers of AI. As good as it is on the one hand, it also has its curse. The business of these models has been overwhelming. AI enhancements can help lower prices and offer a boost to smaller firms that can’t afford high-priced models.
Also, modeling agencies have been built around Instagram promotion, so in that case, if a human-like product can be created at a relatively low cost and given the same work as a human, it will be a technological improvement. It can encourage small businesses that cannot afford large advertising campaigns.
“Kim Kardashian makes a million euros for an Instagram photo, and she doesn’t cure cancer. Nobody makes a million euros for uploading a photo on a social network; it seems absurd to me,” Cruz said.
On the other hand, such AI products are becoming a thorn in the path of real-life influencers. There are concerns about promoting unrealistic perfection, which may influence the younger generation and create a “sexist” image of models.
However, it has already been criticized for the ‘extremely sexual’ images of the models. In a chat with Euronews, The Clueless says it’s simply following the aesthetic already created by real influencers and brands.
