The production company of Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is teaming up with the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF) 2023.
Alia Bhatt is a successful actress in Bollywood. The National Film Award-winning actress has also made her debut in Hollywood. Not only that, “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem kahaani” actress Alia Bhatt recently co-founded Eternal Sunshine Production House with her sister Saheen Bhatt. Now, she has joined the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival, India’s largest environmental film festival. She has become a well-known face in the world. So as the festival’s advocate, Alia Bhatt will lend her support to sustainability and storytelling.
About All Living Things Environmental Film Festival
India’s largest environmental film festival, the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival, started in 2020. The main aim of this new festival is to use cinema to convey some important messages about nature. The festival will be held from December 1–10. The festival is all set for screening in over 20 cities in India, with selected fields from across 50 countries.
Alia Bhatt’s love for nature
Alia Bhatt’s Instagram posts always show that she is a nature lover. She loves to take pictures of nature. Most of the time, the actress catches the eye with a very skimpy look. Also, the book lover ‘B-town girl’ wrote a beautiful poem on nature in 2020. Sometimes she also likes to go on jungle safaris. Alia runs a brand called Ed-A-Mamma which is a responsible, homegrown, and sustainable kidswear label. The brand promotes kindness toward the environment and animals. This year, in the fourth edition of India’s largest environmental film festival, she has joined hands with the festival to support environmental resources.
Before Alia bhatt, some other celebrities started endorsing nature related events
Not just Alia as a Bollywood star, many Bollywood celebrities over the years have come forward to promote environmental sustainability. From popular 90s actresses Dia Mirza and Juhi Chawla to Akshay Kumar, Johan Abraham, Rahul Bose, Nandita Das, and Abhishek Bachchan have played major roles in promoting the environment.
Alia Bhatt is known for her conscientious approach and support for social and environmental causes. So she is a natural choice to play the key role of an ‘advocate’ in the festival. Her influential identity will align with ALT EFF’s mission to increase awareness and dialogue on climate change, sustainability, and the environment, making the festival a global success.
Alia and her sister Shaheen Bhatt jointly founded a production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions, to bring stories that are relevant and connect with a larger demographic.
Alia Bhatt also commented on the purpose of her production house along with the festival. She said, “It is a great honor to be associated with the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival 2023.” She feels that cinema is not only a medium of entertainment but also a powerful tool to create an important point of view. This festival carries the message of both cinema and film which is truly remarkable.
“At Eternal Sunshine Productions, our mission is to tell stories that enable thought or change in any way possible, and it’s such a pleasure for us at Eternal to support a festival that seeks to tell powerful stories while driving meaningful change, while being environmentally conscious. As a young production company, this will be an important learning and an important step towards fulfilling this vision.” remarked by Alia.
