Will come together again after 15 years! Alliance decided between BJP-BJD
There are 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha. At present BJD has 12 seats, BJP has eight and Congress has one seat. In case of an alliance, BJP would want five-six more seats and in return can give some more seats in the assembly. It is said that at present BJP wants 14 Lok Sabha seats and wants to give seven seats to BJD.
BJD Vice President and MLA Debi Prasad Mishra has even talked about a possible alliance with BJP. During his recent visit to Odisha, PM Modi gave some such indications which made it seem that after 15 years both the parties are going to join hands once again.
Actually, while PM Modi did not say anything against the Naveen Patnaik government in Odisha, the PM also praised Naveen Patnaik on many occasions.
It is noteworthy that no formal announcement of alliance has been made yet. The question is also that if there is an alliance between the two parties, then what will be the equation in the state regarding seat sharing. Will there be a tussle between the two parties regarding seat sharing?

On the question asked about seat sharing in Bihar NDA, KC Tyagi said that JDU will contest elections in those constituencies where it had won last time.
The seats won are the trust of JDU-BJP. Along with this, Tyagi reiterated that BJP is like an elder brother to JDU. There is every possibility that the arrangement for distribution of seats will be based on the formula used in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
In the 2019 elections, both BJP and JDU had contested 17 seats each in Bihar. BJP won all 17 seats it contested, while JDU won 16 constituencies.
