The Bigg Boss 17 grand finale concluded weekend last night with Munawar Faruqui being declared the winner of the power packed season. The stand-up comedian took with him prize money of Rs 50 lakhs and a brand new Hyundai car.
Munawar defeated Abhishek Kumar and was announced the Bigg Boss 17 winner by Salman Khan host of the long lasting franchise of Bigg Boss. While fans are delighted with the result, the celebrations at Dongri in Mumbai, where Munawar lives, have been astouding and astonishing as people of Locals ‘Dongrikars’ are overwhelmed to see their winner.
Munawar on his own Life
Soon after being declared the Bigg Boss winner, Munawar spoke to media platforms about his journey, his personal life being dragged on the show, the fiasco woth Ayesha Khan, and whether he plans to settle down in life now.
Talking about the moment Munawar held the Bigg Boss 17 trophy in his hand, he said, “The feeling was unreal, the way my journey has been… that moment was such that I could feel the weight of that trophy. This trophy has cost me a lot, but it is worth it. In the end, what was important was not just taking the trophy home, but a lot many things.”

Sharing his views on his personal life being punch out on the show, the Bigg Boss 17 winner shared, “I was not okay with my personal life being dragged on the show to this extent. But things were not in my control. It was a situation I did not want to face, but I had no option. I am not proud of anything I did, but I have to move on and make things better now.”
When asked if this incident also took a toll on him mentally, Munawar revealed, “I have been through a lot of mental breakdowns, there was not a single day that I have not cried under the blanket or in the bathroom. I felt very helpless, mentally too I was affected. But I will have to face it.”

Ending with a beautiful shayari dedicated to his mother Mumtaz, Munawar narrated,
“Tu saath na maa, par saath tera sayaa tha, Kitna mashoor rutba ek kamayaa tha,
Woh todne aaye the mera mitti ka mahal, Lekin beta mumtaz ka unka taj cheen ke ayaa tha.”

Besides Stand Up Comedian Munawar Faruqui and Udaariyan Famous Abhishek Kumar, the other three contestants who were competing for the trophy in the finale were actors Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, and social media personality Arun Mahashetty.
Superstar Ajay Devgn served as the special guest on the last episode of he latest season that aired on Colors channel. The first contestant to be evicted in the finale from the Bigg Boss house was Arun. He was followed by Ankita and Mannara.

Many had predicted Faruqui’s win on social media. Various Astrologer predicts Ankita Lokhande and Munawar Faruqi top two finalist in that Grand Finale. The comedian first made headlines in 2021 when he was jailed for over a month for making remarks on Hindu deities during a stand-up show and allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
In 2022, he won another reality TV show, Lock Upp season one, which was hosted by actor Kangana Ranaut.
During his stint on Bigg Boss season 17, Faruqui entertained fellow housemates and viewers with his wit and charm. His personal life also remained a topic of discussion throughout the show.

The latest season of Bigg Boss premiered on October 15, 2023 with 17 contestants, including Vicky Jain, Ayesha Khan, Anurag Dobhal, Aishwarya Sharma, Neil Bhatt, Isha Malviya, Jigna Vora, Firoza Khan aka Khanzaadi, and Rinku Dhawan, Sana Raees Khan, Aoora & Tehelka.
In Bigg Boss 17, while on one hand Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, Mannara Chopra came forward after hearing the three finalists, on the other hand, all the contestants of Bigg Boss gathered in the grand finale. Ankita Lokhande’s mother-in-law has made guest appearances 2 to 3 times in the show and due to the quality of her severe mother-in-law being shown on live television, she is now being compared to the in laws of a dailysoap. In such a situation, Ranjana ji is Vicky Jain’s mother and Ankita Lokhande’s mother-in-law has also become quite famous in social platforms.
