Before the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission has issued an advisory against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. Under this advisory, they have been advised to be alert.
In fact, the Election Commission has given this advice to Rahul Gandhi only after considering the order of the Delhi High Court in the matter of remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
EC cautions Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi made a controversial comment on PM Modi, while addressing the gathering.
Rahul Gandhi had said, “PM means Panauti Modi”, referring to the final match of the World Cup.
He said that our boys were winning the World Cup well. But, he got them defeated.
Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi is narrating the story of the pickpocket on which the notice has been issued in almost every meeting. It is said- ‘Three people come to cut the pocket. A pocket strand tries to distract attention. The second cut the shape pocket from the back. The third stands and keeps watching and is trying to attack.
EC advisory to star campaigner’s for party
Acting on a Delhi High Court directive of December last year, the poll panel also asked Mr Gandhi to follow its recent advisory for star campaigners and political leaders in the right earnest during the election campaign.
In the advisory dated March 1, the Election Commission (ECI) had warned that parties, candidates and star campaigners will face stern action, rather than just ‘moral censure’ for any violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the one who distracts like a pocket drop. The pocket-cutter is Adani and the one who hits the stick is Amit Shah.
Former MP CM takes jibe on EC over its caution remarks to Rahul Gandhi
‘We don’t trust the VVPAT or EVMs or the impartiality of the Election Commission. I only trust the Supreme Court. The election should be held through ballot paper,’ said Singh
“My allegation is that the Election Commission is not impartial; it is under pressure. We expect impartiality from the Commission. All the work of EVMs is in the hands of private people. When software does everything, it will decide who will form the government,” he remarked.
Digvijay Singh also gave a demo of alleged EVM malfunction. “In a country with a population of 140 crore where there are 90 crore voters, should we give the right to decide all this in the hands of such people? Its owner is the developer and installer of the software, added Singh.
The Election Commission is not answering our specific questions. We are told that the VVPAT is visible for seven seconds. But what is the guarantee of printing what it shows?” he asked.
It’s BJP vs Digvijay Singh now over EC remarks
“I have seen the era of TN Seshan Saheb during my tenure as Chief Minister and expecting impartiality from the EC. If we say something, the ECI gives notice but the same logic is not followed against leaders of BJP.”
Singh alleged that there will be no democracy after 2024. We don’t trust the VVPAT or EVMs or the impartiality of the Election Commission. I only trust the Supreme Court. The election should be held through ballot paper. If you have so much love for EVMs, then give the VVPAT slip in the hands of the voter,” he asserted.
