After the break of three years , the highly – awaited Mumbai film festival 2023 has returned again in 2023 . the edition was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic for past few years .This edition of the much desired Mumbai event has finally been announced .It has started from October 27 .Priyanka Chopra , the chairperson of the JIO MAMI Film Festival arrived at the grand opening of the event with gorgeous style on the first day at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center in Mumbai . Along with her Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and many others bollywood stars were spotted at the glorious event.
ABOUT THE EVENT
This is one of the world’s biggest and most prestigious film festival which is organised by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), which was founded by stalwarts group in 1997 the main objective of the film is to engage film lovers from all walks of life, and to cherish an ideal good cinema across the country by presenting the best global and Indian films .The 2023 edition of the Jio MAMI Mumbai film festival’ s main focus is South Asian and South Asian Diaspora cinema and talent. as the new head of jury of South Asian Film compitition , the great filmamker Mira nair told that , It is so important that MAMI recognizes the best first or early films because nothing can be more encouraging than one’s peers and gurus of cinema putting the wind in our sails . It is lined up with 2023 has over 250 films and over 40 world premieres 45 Asia premieres, 70+ South Asia premieres, and 13 sections.The world cinema section is featuring 99 titles from over 35 countries including Palme d’Or winner “Anatomy of a Fall” by Justine Triet, Bradley Cooper’s “Maestro,” Madeleine Gavin’s Sundance winner “Beyond Utopia,”
