Recently another incident happened about Ola electric scooter. Now a video has gone viral in online platform showing frustrated customers protesting outside an Ola showroom. An S1 Pro e-scooter caught fire in Pune. This is the second such incident in the city. Reacting to the incident, Ola Electric said its investigation revealed that the fire was caused by a short circuit.
Keeping this incident aside, he has revealed a new plan on social media about subscription fee for cruise control.
A driver was seen riding an Ola electric scooter at a constant speed and without his hands on the handlebars. Apparently, the man was driving the scooter with the cruise control. cruise control hands-free helps the driver to drive at a particular speed without using the accelerator. Ola Electric co-founder and CEO Bhabish Agarwal shared this video on the famous social media.

After watching this video, Bhavish Aggarwal re-shared the video and wrote a short caption jokingly in his own post “Thinking of subscription fee for cruise control after seeing this.”

The Ola S1 Pro electric scooter comes with a cruise control feature, which can be activated between 20 kmph to 80 kmph by long pressing the top right button on the left DPAD with the cruise control/reverse icon. It can be activated in Normal, Hyper and Sports modes.
Nowadays, Ola Electric are selling three different electric scooters. S1 Pro, S1 Air and S1 X. The EV manufacturer is now aiming to enter into the electric motorcycle segment as well as into the electric car market. It has already revealed four different concept electric bikes earlier this year, which are slated to launch in the market over the next few years. Ola Electric Mobility recently signed a MoU with Tamil Nadu government for establishing a 20 GW battery manufacturing facility in the state to create its four-wheeler electric vehicles.
