Actor and BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi Kangana Ranaut recently said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was a victim of an “ambitious” mother.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday chose not to react to criticisms from BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut. She dismissed Ranaut’s statements as “nonsense” and questioned the necessity of addressing her remarks.

In a reference to Sonia Gandhi in an exclusive interview with esteemed news platform, Ranaut said that both Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka were “pressured” and “forced” into politics by Sonia Gandhi.
“Rahul Gandhi is a victim of an ambitious mother. As we have seen in the film ‘3 Idiots’, kids themselves become the victims of parivarvaad. Same is the situation with Rahul Gandhi,” the ‘Queen’ actor said.
Ranaut said both Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi were being “tortured” by their mother to stay in politics, and they should have been allowed to lead their own lives..
What Priyanka Gandhi replied to her comments?
“We are thankful that she is talking about us, but do you want me to reply to every nonsense she utters?”, the Congress leader asked while an interview with same media platforms where Kangana targeted her & family.
When asked about the actor’s remarks, Priyanka Gandhi declined to comment and redirected attention to other pressing issues. She launched a strong critique against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, denying any attacks on Sanatan Dharma by the Congress.
“We do not worship satta (power), but we worship shakti,” she asserted.
The Congress leader also accused the BJP government of not following the path of truth, which is akin to the path of Lord Ram.

“Their (Congress leaders’) mentality is such that they insult me, (BJP MP) Hema Malini, Jayaprada and other women irrespective of their age or marital status. We wonder how low they can stoop,” Ranaut said while addressing poll rallies in Seraj and Banjar assembly segments.
She also said that despite being above 50 years of age, Rahul Gandhi was always being “relaunched” as a youth leader. “I feel he is being pressured and is very lonely,” she said.
The actor, who hails from Mandi, further said that the Congress scion should have been allowed to pursue some other profession and could have tried his hand at acting.
Nonetheless, on Tuesday, the Election Commission took a big action against Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala for objectionable remarks during the ongoing campaign for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 and has banned his election campaign for the next 48 hours.
In such a situation, under the order of the Election Commission, Surjewala will not be able to do any kind of election campaign for the Congress party for the next 48 hours.
