Starting from Chitrakoot, Shri Ram Karmabhoomi Yatra begins its journey from Chitrakoot, where Shri Ram had spent his Vanvasa with his wife Sita jee & brother Lakshman, A Charan Paduka Yatra is being taken out from Chitrakoot Dham which will reach Ayodhya on the morning of 19th January via various routes includes the meeting place of Lord Ram and his younger brother Bharat as per the Hindu epic texts.
UP CM flagged off Charan Paduka Yatra
Before formally inaugurating the Shri Ram Karmabhoomi Yatra, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath worshiped the Charan Paduka placed on the Shri Ram Rath at his residence. Shri Ram Karmabhoomi Yatra was also flagged off.The journey from Chitrakoot to Ayodhya includes the meeting place of Lord Ram and Bharat as per the Hindu epic Ramayan, and this journey is believed to become a medium to make people understand the importance of Lord Ram’s qualities and spirit of service in the run-up to the mega consecration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
Charan Paduka Yatra & Its Routes
The Yatra entered Prayagraj from Kaushambi and passed through various localities, including Dhumanganj, Civil Lines and Medical College crossing before heading to Shree Shankaracharya Ashram in Alopibagh. Local people performed Aarti of the Padukas at various places on the route. At Alopibagh ashram, a dance drama and cultural programme based on Lord Shri Ram was organised by singer Beena and her group. An exhibition of rare paintings based on Lord Ram was also organised by the UP culture department in the Ashram. The yatra will reach Sangam on Wednesday morning where the holy water of Triveni will also be collected .
Grand Welcome by Local People
On Thursday, As soon as the Shri Ram’s Charan Paduka enters in Sultanpur ( Kushbhawanpur) the scene of the district, it will appear changed. From the border to the city, the administration and the local people have made every possible effort to welcome the saints and saints. The sky will resound with the chants of Shri Ram amid Ram Dhun, conch sound, drums and drums. Preparations are in the final stages to immerse people in the devotion of Lord Ram from village to city. The process of arranging the program continued till late evening.
The Rath Yatra of saints and sages will enter the district limits at around 1.30 pm.
