Do you suddenly feel a lot of pain on one or both sides of your head? Are you having eye pain or vomiting? Feeling bored to communicate withpeople around? What do you think you feel this type of headache often. Don’t ignore. You may be suffering from migraine.

Anyone who has had a migraine knows how debilitating it can be. It starts with a shivering feeling from the inside of your head, the pain radiating from behind one eye to the other. It seems that someone is hitting the head with a heavy rod or hammer made of iron. At any time, this pain can start as a form of headache. In some cases, this migraine pain lasts for one to two days. And in the case of some, this pain is tied for three or four days of the month.

According to the WHO, one in two people suffer from headaches, with about 15% of people worldwide suffering from migraines. Between half and three quarters of the world’s adults aged 18–65 suffer from headaches. 30% of among them are suffering from migraine.

What is migraine ?

Migraine is a headache disorder. It is more common in women, usually by a factor of 2:1, due to hormonal impacts. Because estrogen hormone in women’s body, many girls get Migraine with their first periods in puberty.

Someone gets a migraine when the nerve cells and blood vessels in his/her brain are stimulated and irritated. Doctors aren’t sure why it happens to some people and not others. However, migraines are also thought to run in families. So if your family members suffer from migraines, chances are you will have them too. It takes a lot of time for the patient to understand which headache is migraine and which is not. However, doctors have asked to look at a few aspects to clearly determine its symptoms.

Facts and Symptoms

• Experts say that migraine pain usually occurs on one side of the head, right or left. Direction may change from time to time. However, it is not that this pain cannot occur on both sides of the head. There may be nausea. Before the onset of pain, discomfort in the eyes also occurs. For many, there is a flash of light before the eyes. As if something is moving in front of the eyes.

 

Three types of Migraines

• classic migraines begin with a warning sign called an aura. Aura involves changing the way you see. You may see flashing lights, colors, line patterns or shadows. You may temporarily lose some of your vision, such as your side vision. You may experience a strange burning sensation, muscle weakness on one side of your body. You may have trouble in interacting. You may also feel depressed, irritable and restless.

• typical or common migraines do not start with an aura. Common migraines can start more slowly than classic migraines, lasts longer, and interfere more with daily activities. You can feel pain on one side
of your head.

• Hemiplegic  migraines cause weakness on one side of your body, similar to having a stroke.

• People with migraines cannot not sleep well.

• Some people have photophobia, which means a problem with light. Phonophobia is a problem with loud sounds in people, it can also be called a type of migraine symptoms.

• A person who is already suffering from other diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, high blood sugar, it increases the condition of migraine.

• Someone is allergic to food, this allergy causes migraine problem.

What should be followed?

Experts advise to migrain sufferers with eye problems to wear glasses, wake up daily and exercise, take evening walks, eat a balanced diet and avoid stress.

• For those with migraines, excess coffee is harmful. You can eat cashews, walnuts as they are rich in magnesium. If migraine is a problem, you should practice eating dry fruits, milk, curd, lentils, meat, fish, bread, rice, potatoes etc. stay away from junk food and highly spicy food during migraine.

•Try to practice meditation and yoga to get rid of migraine. It can reduce body stress and relieve depression.

• sufferers should sleep more than 7-8 hours a day. Try not to take pain pills if you have a sudden headache. If there is excessive pain, you should contact a good neurologist doctor as soon as possible.

Some home remedies you can follow-

• Ginger contains certain ingredients that can reduce migraine problems. So experts say it is best to eat raw ginger every morning. If that is not possible, then drinking a cup of ginger tea is also effective.

• Clove contains many beneficial ingredients. This ingredient can easily cure your migraine problem. In this case, cloves can be chewed or clove powder can be mixed with food like milk.

• Apply lavender oil through the nose for 15 minutes after migraine pain.

• It is better to stay away from the light when suffering from migraine. Resting in a dark and quiet room is quite relaxing.
