A tragic incident occurred at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport when a person was killed by falling into an engine that was still operating.

According to AFP, the Dutch military police verified the event and said they would be looking into it. The individual ultimately fell into the KLM Airlines Embraer aircraft engine just as it was ready to take off for a route to Denmark.

A horrific incident took place at an airport in Amsterdam as a person lost his life after being sucked into a jet engine of the Cityhopper Embraer E190 plane. The incident was witnessed by passengers and ground crew.

The incident is still being looked into by the authorities, who have not yet disclosed if it was an accident or a suicide. The local authorities assisted in the safe removal of every passenger who was on board at the time of the event.

When the plane was about to take off from Schiphol Airport, the person’s remains became stuck in the engine, prompting the emergency services to rush to the site. In order to get the aircraft ready for its voyage to Denmark, it was being pushed away from the stand.

Taking to X, Koninklijke Marechaussee on May 29 wrote, “An incident occurred this afternoon on the Schiphol platform where a person fell into a running aircraft engine and died. The Marechaussee starts an investigation.”
