Exit polls indicate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India is set to secure a third consecutive term in power.
Most of the exit polls predicted that Modi would retain power for a third straight term, with the BJP-led NDA expected to win a big majority. Some of the pollsters even claimed that the NDA will win more than 350 seats.
The Election Commission of India is due to report official results on June 4.
Tejasvi Surya, a BJP leader, expressed confidence in the exit poll results. He stated that the predictions align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “abki baar 400 paar.” Surya highlighted the transformative changes in the country over the last decade under PM Modi’s leadership
In this context, it appears that an exit poll has been conducted and is showing a victory for the incumbent, President Modi of the BJP party in Congress. However, this information has been disputed by Congress who have accused the exit poll of being a sham or manipulated.
With most of the exit polls predicting a landslide victory for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, the Congress on Saturday claimed that the actual results would be very different. The opposition party even alleged that the exit polls had been “orchestrated” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The man whose exit is certain on June 4th has had these exit polls orchestrated. The INDIA bloc will definitely get a minimum of 295 seats, which is a clear and decisive majority,” Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate dismissed the exit poll surveys as “Narendra Modi’s exit polls.” She emphasized that the public’s vote would ultimately determine the outcome, suggesting that the actual seat count for the INDIA bloc could exceed the exit poll predictions.
What happened in exit polls of 2019, 2014?

But with 353 seats gained by the BJP-led alliance—the BJP alone taking 303 seats—the coalition defeated the opposition with a landslide. 52 seats were won by the Congress, and 91 seats were won by the United Progressive Alliance.
The NDA’s predicted seat total in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections was between 257 and 340. 336 seats went to the NDA.
According to experts, exit poll accuracy has increased with time.
