Kamal Nath Close aid targets Senior Leadership
A close aide of Kamal Nath, Sajjan Singh Verma said when a “big politician” decides to sever ties with his organisation, then “all three factors work behind it”.
He said three things work in politics — “maan, apmaan and swabhimaan (respect, insult and self-respect)”.
“When these factors are hurt, a person changes his decisions…When such a top politician who has done a lot for Congress and the nation in the last 45 years, thinks of moving away from his party, then all three factors work behind it,” Sajjan Singh told news platforms.
Statement issued from Manish Tiwari’s office
These reports were also denied by issuing a statement from the office of Congress MP from Anandpur Sahib Manish Tiwari on the matter.
The statement said, “The news of Manish Tiwari joining BJP is baseless. He is in his constituency and is taking care of the development work of his area. On Saturday (February 17) night itself, he visited the houses of Congress workers. But we stayed.”
Manish Tiwari is an old leader of Congress. He has also been the Information and Broadcasting Minister from 2012 to 2014 during the UPA government. Besides, he has also been a Congress spokesperson. In the year 2014, he did not contest the Lok Sabha elections due to health reasons.

Congress MP Manish Tewari on Thursday attacked the Centre in Parliament, saying that even as its tenure was coming to an end, it had failed to fulfil its promise and bring the law on minimum support price (MSP), which it had made to agitating farmers while taking back the farm laws.
“I urge the government that only one-and-a-half days are left of the Budget session and it should bring the promised MSP law. At the peak of the Covid-19, the government had brought the three farm laws, which had forced thousands of farmers to agitate on Delhi’s borders,” Tewari said, while raising the issue during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha.
Tiwari want to contest from Ludhiana rather than Anandpur Sahib LS seat

This discussion is also gaining momentum in political circles. However, sources close to Congress MP Manish Tiwari have rejected this news. He said that the talk of him being in contact with BJP is absolutely ‘baseless and baseless’.
