Former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda’s Grandson Prajwal and his son Revana has been accused in a sexual abuse case in the middle of Lok Sabha Elections in the state.
The Karnataka Government has decided to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged role of JD(S) MP and its Hasan candidate Prajwal Revana regarding the sexual abusement case.
A woman also complained to the police about Prajwal’s son H. D. Revana, son of former P.M H.D. Deve Gowda, for sexual abusement. H. D. Revana is also the MLA of Holenarasipura. She also alleged that the abuse took place between 2019 and 2022.
According to the local source, Prajwal left the country and went to Germany. The Holenarasipura took the complaint and also watch online clips of other victims.
The scandal disclosure comes at a time when Prajwal Revana is fighting from the Lok Sabha seat from Hasan as a candidate of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and his contender is from Congress – Shreyas Patel.
Regarding the allegations of Revanna, the Karnataka Government has formed a SIT. The team has IPS officer Vijay Kumar Singh, who is the leader of the team and also comprises of DG CID Suman D Pennekar and IPS officer Seema Latkar. Initially, Prajwal has got a warning from the local court. His polling agent Poornachandra Tejaswi filled a complain with police and also named the persons who has circulated the “morphed” clips.
More than 2,000 pen drives were found in the Hasan constituency.
“Pen drives were kept in a bus seats, at bus stands and were given to the people in public places like parks. These pen drives had more than 2000 files which included photos and videos. After a few hours we saw these being widely spread on the WhatsApp. It was shocking”, an official said.
