China hit back on Monday after G7 leaders warned Beijing to stop sending weapons components to Russia, saying their end-of-summit statement was “full of arrogance, prejudice and lies”.
The statement released at the end of the summit on Friday criticized China on many of these issue
G7 Summit took place in Italy’s Apulia region from June 13-15, 2024. G7 Leaders’ Communique was released later which China has criticized, alleging that the organization is demonizing and attacking the country on the basis of concerns pertaining to China.

Lin Jian, the spokeswoman for the foreign ministry, attacked the G7’s remarks in answer to a question from the media regarding China’s response to the leaders’ communiqué. She said that Beijing saw these remarks as part of a continuous attempt by the US and other Western countries to maintain their dominance over the world stage.
China went on to criticize the G7’s membership and applicability in the current international environment. “The globe is not represented by the G7. The seven nations make up only 10% of the world’s population, and even when added together, they contribute less to global economic growth than China “Lin Jian said, underscoring Beijing’s perception that the group’s importance is waning.
The G7 has “long strayed from its original purpose of coordinating for stability in the global economic environment and has increasingly become a political tool to perpetuate US and Western supremacy,” a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry claimed. “It puts its own rules and decisions above the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and the international law and has lost its ability to represent the world and credibility among the international community,” he said.

Why China opposes G7 countries
China has expressed opposition to the G7 countries for various reasons.
