The fire in the firecracker factory of Harda has shaken the entire Madhya Pradesh.
Due to the fire and intermittent explosions, the administration evacuated many houses in the area as they had developed cracks.
A woman, who lost her parents in the explosion and blaze at a firecrackers factory in Madhya Pradesh’s Harda town, said the tragedy was bound to happen and such a unit should not have been operated in a residential area.
She also held the government and the factory owner responsible for Tuesday’s incident, which claimed 11 lives and left more than 200 people injured.
Harda Blast: Tragedy in Madhya Pradesh
11 people have died in this accident, while more than 200 people have been injured. The ongoing rescue operation by SDRF has now been completed. State CM Mohan Yadav will also visit the incident site today.
The rescue operation has been completed about 26 hours after the blast in the firecracker factory in Harda, Madhya Pradesh.
Commissioner of Narmadapuram division said that 11 people have died in this accident. About 184 people have been rescued. 217 people were injured, including 51 factory workers.
The devastation seen in the footage related to the Harda blast screams that how big and painful this accident was.
Eyewitnesses of the accident have said that after the explosion, many bodies were found on the spot, while many people are still missing.
On one hand, efforts are being made to provide relief to the affected people regarding the accident, while on the other hand, action is being taken against those responsible.
Owners Arrested
Two owners of the firecracker factory have been arrested. Their names are Rajesh and Somesh Aggarwal.
According to sources, firecracker factory owner Rajesh Aggarwal has been arrested in Sarangpur, Rajgarh.
He had absconded after the accident. Rajeev Aggarwal had left via Ujjanai and was going through the National Highway connecting Madhya Pradesh-Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
The police raided the Maxi, but Rajiv had already left. After this, arrest was made on the highway in Sarangpur.
Another woman spent the night on a road as her house was damaged in the incident.
A man residing in the area said they had sought removal of the firecrackers unit from the area, but no heed was paid to their demand.
Harda Blast linkage
The cause of Harda blast starts from 2022. The people of Harda had complained to the district administration about illegal storage of gunpowder and non-fulfillment of safety standards in this factory. Due to increasing public pressure, the district administration sealed this factory on 26 September 2022. Rishi Garg was the collector. Factory owner Rajesh Aggarwal appealed to Commissioner Mal Singh Bahedia against this order. After this he got a stay.
Three-member investigation committee formed said CM Mohan Yadav
Immediately after the incident, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav took cognizance and issued orders to form a three-member inquiry committee. Madhya Pradesh government has constituted a three member inquiry committee. The committee headed by Home Affairs Principal Secretary Sanjay Dubey will investigate the accident. Jaideep Prasad IPS and Public Works Department officer RK Mehra have been made members.
President express grief, Relief Funds from Centre
In such a situation, today Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will go to Harda and meet the injured. Will also give instructions to its officers.
President Draupadi Murmu along with PM Modi and former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan have expressed grief over this tragic accident.
During this, PM Modi has announced to give Rs 2-2 lakh for the dead and Rs 50-50 thousand for the injured from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
Instructions to officers for investigation
According to reports, CM Mohan Yadav had also called a meeting of all the collectors and commissioners.
Along with this, orders have also been given that all will submit their report in the Home Department within 24 hours.
Whether the operation of the firecracker factory is being done as per the required conditions or not. Learning from this accident, CM Mohan Yadav has taken action against the firecracker factories in the entire state.
