Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the night of March 21 in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case. On March 22, Rouse Avenue Court sent CM Kejriwal to ED remand till March 28. Kejriwal’s arrest raises the question of a leadership crisis in front of AAP as well as the Delhi government.
After the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, now everyone wants to know whether there will be a new CM in Delhi and if so, who will become it.
According to the report, if Kejriwal resigns from the post of CM, his wife Sunita Kejriwal can become the new Chief Minister of Delhi in his place.
Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has issued a video statement. In this video, he read out a letter from Arvind Kejriwal in front of his countrymen, which he wrote from jail.
Sunita Kejriwal read this letter from her husband getting emotional. He said, ‘Your son and your brother Arvind Kejriwal have sent a message for you from jail.’
‘I will come out soon’, says Kejriwal from behind the bars
Sunita Kejriwal released a video statement saying, “… your son and your brother Arvind Kejriwal have sent a message to you from jail. They have said, my dear countrymen, I (Arvind Kejriwal) was arrested yesterday, Whether inside or outside, I will continue to serve the country every moment. Every moment of my life is dedicated to the country… My life has been a struggle, so this arrest does not surprise me… Making India the most powerful country in the world. There are many forces inside and outside India that are weakening India…We have to defeat these forces…I will come out soon and fulfill my promise…”

PM Modi was targeted yesterday by Mrs Kejriwal
It is noteworthy that Sunita Kejriwal has been very active since the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. He had also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi by tweeting on Friday.
He had said, Modiji got your thrice elected Chief Minister arrested out of arrogance of power. He is trying to crush everyone.
This is a betrayal of the people of Delhi. Your Chief Minister has always stood with you. Whether inside or outside, his life is dedicated to the country. The public knows everything that he is Janardan.

Trial court’s remand challenged in High Court
CM Arvind Kejriwal has challenged before the Delhi High Court the order of his arrest and remand passed by the trial court on March 22, 2024.
Kejriwal argues that both the arrest and the remand order are illegal and he deserves to be immediately released from custody. Kejriwal demanded an immediate hearing from the acting Chief Justice of Delhi High Court on Sunday 24 March.
Delhi minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj says, “The model code of conduct is in place. All parties are campaigning and police put up barricades outside the national office of a national party every day. Neither ministers nor office-bearers are allowed to proceed.” is allowed. This is just hooliganism. We will complain about these officers to the Election Commission. If these officers do not have written orders then action should be taken against them.”
Demonstration of AAP leaders and workers in Shahidi Park
Hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party workers and many big leaders are protesting near Shahidi Park in Delhi. All have participated in the protest against the arrest of CM Kejriwal. During this period, strict security arrangements have been made. CM Bhagwant Mann is also addressing the protesters.
Delhi Minister Atishi fiercely attacked the BJP in a press conference. He said- Kejriwal never met Sharad Reddy. He was granted bail on Sharad’s statement. Sharad Reddy, tell us where the money from the money trail went. Today I will tell you where this money went. Sharad Reddy gave money to the BJP. He donated to the BJP through electoral bonds through Aurobindo Pharmacy.
BJP’s protest after the arrest of CM Kejriwal
Virendra Sachdeva said – AAP is also going to become a family party.
BJP workers also took to the streets amid AAP’s protest after the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Party workers, under the leadership of State President Virendra Sachdeva, went to Rajghat and prayed at Bapu’s Samadhi and raised their voices against corruption. After that, they demonstrated outside Rajghat and demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister.
