On the evening of day before Republic Day, 25 January, President Draupadi Murmu addressed the nation and with this, preparations for Republic Day formally started in the country.
Guest for Republic Day
This time Republic Day has been special for India.
The chief guest this time was French President Emmanuel Macron and India organized its entire Republic Day celebration on the theme of women power.
On the other hand, the biggest thing that is coming out this time is that India and France are celebrating 25 years of mutual friendship, it has been unmatched and we are also celebrating the silver jubilee of our friendship with France.
Ceremonial Start of Republic Day
At around 10 in the morning, the Chief of Defence Staff, the three Army Chiefs, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of State for Defense reach there and welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then the Prime Minister remembers the martyrs at the National War Memorial and pays tribute to them.
After 2 minutes of silence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expresses his feelings in words in the Digital Visitors Book.
After that, the convoy of the Prime Minister reaches the main venue on the Kartavya path, then within a short while the Prime Minister welcomes the Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and his wife there, then the Ashwabal & President Angrakshak convoy moving from Rashtrapati Bhavan reaches the Kartavya path, as per its custom, the President rides with the chief guest.
Just like that, President Draupadi Murmu and Emmanuel Macron board it and then they leave from there with their bodyguards and a convoy of horsemen and then reach the venue seated on royal horse car, where Prime Minister Modi receives them and welcomes them.Then, the two big leaders welcome each other with a warm embrace.
Republic Day Theme: Nari Shakti
President Droupadi Murmu led the Nation, Celebrating the 75th Republic Day as she unfurled the national flag at Kartavya Path in the national capital, the parade began with ‘Aavaahan’, a band performance by over 100 women artists playing various types of tunes, instruments, symbolising Nari Shakti, including the Damru , a new element added to the customary march.
For the first time ever, the parade was helded by over 100 women artists playing Indian musical instruments. The parade commenced with the music of Sankh, Naadswaram, Nagada, etc. played by these women artists.
This Republic Band from France Too
Kartavya Path also witnessed a march past by a combined Band and Marching contingent of the French Armed Forces. A band contingent headed by Captain Khourda, include 30 member, which was followed by a 90-member marching contingent, led by Captain Noel represents the friendship of two nation.
The parade is a showcase of India’s rich cultural diversity, unity, progress, its military prowess on the back of increasing indigenous capabilities, and the growing Nari Shakti, the MoD official added.
Power of Nari Shakti
It also witnessed the participation of all-women Tri-Service contingent marching down the Kartavya Path. Women pilots just presenting their ‘Shaurya’ with various Air Force Craftst in the parade.The audience during the Fly-past, representing ‘Nari Shakti (women power)’. The contingents of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) also consisted of only women personnel. Usually this year, Almost more than half of contingents group were headed by women.
Tableaus Theme & Plot
If we talk about different and beautiful tableaux, some ministries of the Government of India were presented their tableaux, in which Home Ministry, Cultural Ministry, External Affairs Ministry and ISRO under Ministry of Science were also seen there.
If we talk about the tableau of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), it had transformed the Chandrayaan mission and the utmost role of women scientists there, which touched the hearts of the audience sitting there and gave the message that today the women of India can travel from the kitchen to the moon at that point where no one think off.
