Three-Season Extension for Indian Viewers
The renewed partnership between SPNI and UEFA is set to enhance the football viewing experience for audiences in India. Running from the 2024/2025 season until the end of the 2026/2027 season, the agreement guarantees access to over 1600 football matches across SPNI’s channels over three seasons. Fans can look forward to witnessing top European clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool in action, featuring star players like Kylian Mbappe, Mo Salah, Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes, and more.
Indian football enthusiasts will have the convenience of enjoying Union of European Football Associations tournaments exclusively on Sony Sports Network’s linear television channels as well as on their on-demand OTT platform, SonyLIV, in the Indian subcontinent. This dual-platform approach ensures that fans can catch every thrilling moment of their favorite matches wherever they are, whether at home or on the go.
In addition to securing the rights to showcase Union of European Football Associations competitions, SPNI will also be bringing the revamped Union of European Football Associations Champions League format to Indian screens from the 2024/2025 season onwards. The new league phase will feature four additional clubs, totaling 36 competing teams. This format promises even more excitement and opportunities for fans to witness thrilling matchups between Europe’s elite clubs.
Furthermore, UEFA’s premier club competitions will no longer have a break in January, ensuring uninterrupted European club football action from August to May.
