Arsenal has their biggest win in the Premier League over Chelsea on Tuesday with 5-0 in the scoreline.
With this win, Arsenal reached the No. 1 position in the points table. Kai Havertz and Ben White scored two goals each to crush Chelsea by 5-0. Leandro Trossard also scored a goal for this massive win for Arsenal.
The Arsenal manager acknowledged his team’s strong start but he also noted few failures of his team.
However, he praised their second half performance which improved with discipline and ruthless finishing.
Chelsea suffered a significant setback before the match, as their key player Cola Palmer was ruled out due to illness. Palmer has been involved in nearly half of the side in Chelsea’s goal in this session, and his absence was a key factor for Chelsea in yesterday’s match against Arsenal.
Chelsea also had an unbeaten run of eight league games prior to the FA cup semi final loss to Manchester City. Mauricio Pochettino expressed his disappointment with the result and his team’s performance. He stated “Today we did not compete against a team fighting for the Premier League. We need to be aware we need to compete in a different way.”

Arsenal scored the first goal of the match within 5 minutes. The Chelsea side were being too tentative in their ball play. Trossard scored the goal when Rice was given too much space on the left to reach the box without anyone stopping him. Chelsea was not in the game eventually for 16 minutes before they actually managed to string some decent passes together.
White’s effort from the corner doubled the lead for Arsenal in the second half and Havertz who has found consistent from Areta, scored twice to put the game out of reach. White’s attempted cross, which flew into the top corner, capped of a night to forget for Chelsea. They are currently in the 9th place with 3 points behind the European qualification spots.
Arsenal’s next challenge is away with next fixture set against Tottenham in the North London Derby on Sunday.
If Areta’s men can secure a victory against their arch rivals, Man City will likely to win all of their remaining six matches to retain the Premier League.
